During their one month-long summer residency at TAKEOVER, Modelab will transform the gallery into a mixed media genealogical garden.

The installation, made out of images, plant samples and decorative elements, proposes the elevation of personal histories into a collective aesthetic process.

Through experimental archival techniques, Modelab proposes to acknowledge family memories and identities as a celebration of present life.

Founded in 2014 by Claudia Arozqueta and Rodrigo Azaola, Modelab projects have taken place in streets, parks, billboards, beaches, museums, vacant retail stores, and other spaces in Australia, New Zealand, France, Mexico, Taiwan, Philippines, etc.
